Why Recruit with Us

Western Michigan University is one of the only universities in the country to offer a sales program as part of their business curriculum. Western Michigan’s Sales and Business Marketing (SBM) degree offers an intensive study program that emphasizes the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in sales in particular and business in general.

Our students prepare for their careers by taking a variety of marketing and sales courses. In addition, through the use of our new Interactive Digital Sales Facility, students perform role-playing exercises in realistic sales situations and are able to review their performances. We believe with their sales focused curriculum and role playing opportunities, SBM students contribute early to the success of the firms that hire them.

In addition to a demanding course study, many SBM students participate in the Sales and Business Marketing Association (SBMA). SBMA is an academic organization focused on bringing employers and students together to create networking and job opportunities. The program hosts several employer nights throughout the academic year. Employer nights are an opportunity for employers to tell students about their firm and offers both students and employers a time to interact with each other informally at the end of the presentation. Many employers have hired for both internship and full-time positions after meeting students at SBMA events.

Our students have shown an interest in your industry, and your company in particular. We are anticipating hosting several employer nights this semester and would love for you to be there. Feel free to contact the SBMA President; Eric Howse for details on attending an employer night..

* All Employer Nights will be held in Schneider Hall, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo Campus

We look forward to hearing from you,
